Baptist is Offering Free Screenings at Pittman-Sullivan Park Today!

The Baptist Health System Mobile Health Screening Unit, in partnership with BCFS, will be offering free cholesterol, glucose, and blood pressure screening today (Monday, January 17) at Pittman-Sullivan Park where the MLK march ends. The march is expected to draw more than 100,000 peopl. The Unit will be located at the park until 4pm. We hope to see you there. If you are driving  parking may be a challenge so make sure you have good walking shoes!

Down in the Dumps?

With the holiday's behind us and the colder weather it's not uncommon to feel slightly down in the dumps. While this feeling may pass, for some people the feeling can linger and might even be depression.  If you think you might be suffering from depression read this fact sheet for more information and be sure to talk to your doctor.

January brings lots of opportunity to concentrate on your health and take action to learn healthy habits. Start by getting your cholesterol and glucose checked, for free! BCFS and Baptist Health System are partners in
"Driving Health Forward" with a Mobile Health Screening Unit that offers free community health screenings in San Antonio and the surrounding neighborhoods. In conjunction with the Central Library and the School of Arts and Crafts You Are What You Eat exhibit free screenings will be offered at various library locations throughout San Antonio.
